Barcelona for free!

Art, music, plays, family activities and much more to do in Barcelona for free

Money is not an excuse to stay in the armchair at home without doing anything. In Barcelona (still) there are a handful of very interesting cultural proposals for which you do not have to spend a single euro. Here you have some of our favorites.

Mercat de la Terra. Slow Food Barcelona
The Slow Food Land Market, which is installed on Saturdays in the park of the Tres Chimeneas Cerlebra during the months of February and March the Urban Calçotadas (€ 7), with grilled calçotades of this delicious and popular seasonal product . This market of small producers works with good and clean food, local product of good quality and seasonal, obtained with traditional processes respectful with the environment and the work of the land, and sold at a fair price, both for those who buy as for who produces them. In short, it is about shortening distances between the farmer and the consumer. The market will also continue to focus on gastronomy -with the involvement of different Slow Food chefs-, as well as children’s activities within the Slow Kids space and live music. They are also preparing a whole series of new proposals (talks, workshops …) that enrich the space, and transform it into a space for citizen coexistence.

The drawings of the plastic artist and, above all, a Joma artist and those of the workshop participants ‘The drawing in transformation’ of the Picasso Museum will come alive and a session will be offered where art and music will converge. The sea, the trip and the welcome. Portrait and drawing in transformation to build a striking image of reality in the Mediterranean. Music and drawing in synchrony feeding each other.
